- Fish production in the wetland was highly fluctuating, the unscientific way of managing the fisheries could be one of the most probable reasons.
- Indian major carp (catla, rohu, mrigal) contributed the major fish catch in the wetland followed by grass carp, silver carp, common carp and small indigenous fishes (SIF).
- The average fish production during 2009-2021 was 43 tonnes per year.
